Chief Academic Officer Primary Responsibilities of the Job:
Partner with and assist the Bursar Manage Accounts Payable Manage the Marina transactions Manage Invoices for Northeast Maritime Institute (ex.
Instructor Time Sheets) Maintain certain business accounts (sales and operating) and record business transactions Reconcile accounts Prepare regular reports as requested, including interim financial statements General Human Resources task; time off requests, benefits enrollment etc.
Embrace and adhere to the company's Quality Management System, (QMS)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Experience with accounting software (Ex.
Quick Books) Knowledge of journal entry posting Importing transactions from Student Information System Outstanding interpersonal and community relations skills and the ability to communicate and work effectively within a diverse community.
Knowledge of records retention and/or destruction policies and procedures.
